Upcoming Jamaica Mission Trip
Montego Bay, Here We Come!
This summer, Grace Bible will be sending some of our own on a week long mission trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica! The GBC Youth will be going on the trip, as well as various church members. The mission team will be staying with two missionary families there in Montego Bay and will be working closely with them to effectively serve the people of Jamaica. Potential ministry locations include: Jamaican Christian School for the Deaf, Robin’s Nest Orphanage, Riverside Baptist Church, and Bethel Baptist Church and Bible Institute, as well as, an infirmary and various villages. We are so looking forward to this trip and the impact we hope it will bring. Please pray for us as well continue to raise funds for those planning on serving in this special way.
Ways You Can Help
Mid-week Meals for Missions:
We have recently started up a new program on Wednesday nights, beginning at 5:30pm, called Mid-week Meals for Missions. This is a weekly fundraiser of sorts, being headed up by some of the ladies to help bring people for Wednesday Night Bible Study and to raise money for the upcoming mission trip. Instead of making dinner or stopping at a fast-food restaurant on busy Wednesday nights, church goers are invited to come by the church for a home-cooked meal. Suggested donations are $5 per person or $10 per family for your meal.
*If you would like to donate food supplies or even help with the cooking for Meals for Missions, please feel free to contact Sarah, Danielle, or Trista.
Donate Supplies:
Another great way to help us prepare for the mission trip is to donate supplies for us to take and distribute while we are ministering in Jamaica. We hope to pack suitcases full of supplies for the people of Jamaica, so anything you can give is greatly appreciated!
Here is a concise list of supplies needed:
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Shampoo
- Soap
- Deodorant
- Bibles
- Shoes (new)
- Clothes (new)
- Canned goods

Teen-led Service
Nov. 1, 2017
This past Sunday night, the GBC teens put on a teen-led service with the help of our youth Pastor and his wife. Our teens all stepped out of their comfort zones and allowed God to use them and the results were powerful! Some helped with music, some with sound and visuals for the service, some with announcements and prayer, and some helped as ushers. Youth Pastor, Dillon Denk brought a great message from John 17 about the Purposeful Prayer of Jesus. I think it’s safe to say that all hearts were encouraged and challenged by this special service. Our teens look forward to serving again in this way in the future!
What’s New With the GBC Youth Group?
Oct. 16, 2017
First off, our “Teen Room” is under construction and we couldn’t be more excited about the progress! For the past few weeks, Pastor Dillon and Sarah have been working with the youth group to put up drywall, build a ping pong table, paint the teen room walls, and build some cool new seating. Once all of the painting is complete, the teens will also be installing new lament flooring which has been donated to us by a church member. God is so good and we are seeking to be good stewards of what He has given us as we make these renovations to our facilities. Please pray that all continues to go well with these renovations. (Photos will be posted when the renovations are complete).
Secondly, we are excited to announce that there will be a “Teen-led” Sunday Evening Service on October the 29th put on by our GBC Youth Group. God has multiplied our youth group and now that we have some more teens, we want to give them a chance to get involved in leading a service themselves. The teens are currently in the process of planning everything from leading music, to assigning ushers for the offering. We would love for you to join us for this unique night of worship.
Looking forward, Pastor Dillon is planning a Winter Youth Ski Trip in the coming months. More will be posted as that trip approaches. Thanks for checking in with the GBC Youth Group and please continue to pray for our young people and our Youth Pastor!
Teen Soap Hockey Event
This event really made a splash with our youth! Praise God for all those who prayed for and helped with Soap Hockey!
Church Picnic
Our annual church picnic was a HUGE success! The winners of our badminton tournament were Keith and Stefan, and the winners of our horseshoes tournament were Steve and Debbie. Ryan won the men’s cupcake decorating contest. Congrats to all of our winners and thank you to all of our participants! Thank you to all who came out for this church-wide event and helped in providing food and fellowship!

Teen Laser Tag Outreach
The GBC Teens held a Laser Tag Outreach to bring teens to the church property and to provide a unique and fun activity. The teens enjoyed battling it out with some sweet state-of-the-art Tippman Laser Tag guns. After a couple hours of play, Pastor Dillon ended the night with a devotional from Proverbs 4:23.
